First, we would like to say thank you for your interest in choosing Indiana as a destination for trophy whitetail hunting in 2008. Our state in general and specifically the areas where we hunt are known for large whitetail. There are a couple reasons why Indiana is one of the nation’s most well kept secrets.
We are a large agricultural producer that provides more than enough nutrients and forage for our herds to produce large bodies and in turn large racks. | |
Also, for the past six hunting seasons, Indiana has only allowed one buck to be taken annually per hunter. This fact alone has dramatically increased both he size of the deer as well as the overall population. The quality of our herd today is second to none. In the last few years Indiana has become very competitive with other known trophy producing states such as Texas, Illinois, Iowa, and Kansas. If you have ever hunted any of these states then you will love the hunting experience found in Indiana. It is not uncommon in our hunting area for a mature buck to weigh 200-250 pounds and gross score between 130" and 180" as a three-year old. We have secured 13,000 acres of prime hunting land in White, Carroll, and Cass counties that will not only offer you a memorable experience, but a hunt that a true sportsman will appreciate and enjoy for many years to come.
Well then let us share with you a little bit of information concerning the hunt itself. The areas we hunt as mentioned above are to a large degree agricultural fields. We have hardwoods, fence rows, and ditches that surround these fields that can be utilized along with our river and creek bottoms for natural funnels. We have over forty farms to place you on for your trophy buck. There are four hunting seasons that you can choose from: early bow: October 1st -November 14th, shotgun: November 15th - November 30th, muzzle loader: December 6th-December 21st, and late bow: December 6th- January 4th.
